Job Description

The Investment Lead oversees and executes all client investment activities, including both Investment Marketplace and Investment Management, ensuring teams have access to marketplace insights, Groupe solutions, and a solid operational investment foundation.

This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in-office each week. If you are contacted for an interview, your recruiter will discuss specifics with you, inclusive of any necessary reasonable accommodations. You will report to the EVP, Investment Marketplace.

Responsibilities

Knowledge

  • Expert understanding of agency operations and client goals.
  • How to translate client goals into investment marketplace strategies.
  • Knowledge of the marketplace, including digital, print, audio, video, social, search, and programmatic channels.
  • Expertise in marketplace partnership opportunities, deals, terms, and the agency contracting process.

Day-to-Day

Marketplace

  • Marketplace Intelligence: Oversee and integrate client context into marketplace overviews, POVs, and new partnership opportunities. Contribute to the channel mix process and marketplace trends.
  • Investment Products & Solutions: Cultivate relationships with PMX and PHM Product Lab to align client needs and identify gaps.
  • Tactical Investment Plans: Ensure marketplace recommendations align with strategic goals. Collaborate with teams to validate tactical recommendations and develop meaningful partnerships.
  • Joint Business Plans (JBP): Create and manage client JBPs, ensuring additional value is delivered.

Investment Management

  • Investment Process: Ensure adherence to the Investment Management Process (Buying, Monitoring, Reconciling, Closing) and stay updated on process changes.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Manage all client dollars in the marketplace and maintain accurate financial documentation.
  • Investment Safety: Coordinate crisis and compliance management in response to adverse marketplace events.
  • Marketplace Value: Guide teams and partners to extract maximum value from partnerships. Report on marketplace value.
  • Benchmarks & Learning: Create benchmarks, proof points, and above-client insights. Accountable for ongoing marketplace intelligence, POVs, and marketplace 101s and education days. Drive POVs on new investment offerings, processes, and technologies. Responsible for the assignment and execution of ad hoc projects.

 

Internal + External Relationships

  • Develop and maintain relationships with important partners, including clients, our teams, and marketplace partners.
  • Be the escalation point for all investment-related issues.
  • You will be accountable for team staffing, talent development, and operations.
  • Provide clear goals, priorities, and success metrics to partners.
  • Foster a positive work environment and manage and mentor junior team members.
  • Collaborate with leadership across teams and contribute to new business efforts.
  • Represent PHM in the marketplace and attend industry events.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of industry experience in media planning and buying.
  • Expertise in all channels, audiences, and campaign types (Digital - Endemic/Lifestyle, Video, Audio - Terrestrial & Streaming, Print, OOH, HCP, and Payer/Managed Markets)
  • Proficiency in business intelligence software (SQL, MicroStrategy, Datorama) and an understanding of data manipulation.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Exhibits leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations.
  • Capability in building and maintaining client and marketplace relationships.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $115,500 - $181,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
