Job Description

Manages day-to-day tactical plan needs. Develops strong relationships with internal & external media stakeholders. Plans, directs & coordinates media programs for clients. The goal for this role is to develop innovative, multi-channel, healthcare media plans while fostering strong media partnerships to expand marketplace skill set.

  • Expert understanding of how the agency works and how jobs flow throughout  
  • Expert understanding of client’s business and goals  
  • Strong understanding of how client business objectives translate into media investment and management strategies  
  • Expert understanding of the planning process  
  • Expert understanding of the overall media marketplace and partner landscape  
  • Strong understanding of partnership opportunities, deals and terms  
  • Expert understanding of agency planning tools  

Day-to-Day 

  • Oversees PD media recommendation 
  • Oversees the daily execution of Partner Direct team tasks  
  • Ensures best practices in agency process, efficiencies, etc… are implemented and operational  
  • Drives POVs on new partner offerings, processes, and technologies  
  • Responsible for managing timely delivery of team projects and tasks  
  • Responsible for assignment and execution of ad hoc projects  
  • Responsible for PD marketplace 101's and education days 
  • Responsible for leading rate negotiations for large scale, multi-channel, and/or first to market deals 

Internal + External Relationships 

  • Responsible for developing talent, delegating appropriately, and ensuring teams are working smoothly   
  • Responsible for managing and prioritizing team assignments  
  • Provides clear, regular communication regarding client and project goals, prioritization, and measures of success to all key stakeholders  
  • Fosters a positive work environment    
  • Provides expertise and shares knowledge with junior team members   
  • Delivers constructive, actionable feedback to team  
  • Begins to develop working relationships with client contacts as necessary   
  • Continues to develop relationships with key media partners  
  • Collaborates internally with leadership across capabilities and teams  
  • Continues to develop relationships with key Groupe teams, such as APEX and PMX 
  • Able to navigate proper support for planning systems and tools  
  • Contributes to new business efforts as needed  

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience 
  • Pharma Experience Required 
  • Expertise in 5+ channels, audiences, and campaign types (Digital - Endemic/Lifestyle, Video, Audio - Terrestrial & Streaming, Print, OOH, HCP, Payer/Managed Markets)  
  • Entrepreneurial approach to finding and securing new opportunities 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 
  • Superb presentation abilities 
  • Superior organization skills and ability to lead and oversee execution of numerous projects simultaneously 
  • Strong client relations skills and ability to think strategically from a client’s perspective 
  • Ability to think conceptually and to translate those concepts into actionable plans to drive clients’ businesses forward 
  • Highly collaborative – a team player capable of managing clients, partners, and internal teams 
  • Conceptual and forward-thinking – comfortable in a sometimes-ambiguous environment and excited about inventing new ways of working
