Why I Choose Health: Making the World a Better Place

    Nick Driver, Supervisor, Programmatic

At PHM, our roles and reasons for being here are many. We’ve asked people to answer a few questions, letting us know a few of the things that make them unique, what they like best about PHM and of course, why they’ve chosen health.

What is the best thing about working at PHM?

My favorite part about working at PHM is certainly the people on the programmatic team. I have always felt supported by my immediate team and thoroughly enjoy working with everyone. Sometimes it feels like we are one big programmatic family!

When in the office, what inspires you most?

When I’m in the office, I enjoy brainstorming and collaborating with my team members. It’s a team-oriented task that allows us to tap into both our creative and logical sides. By combining various perspectives, we are able to provide successful outputs for our programmatic media plans! Essentially, it shows how strong we are when we put our heads together.

What is something a co-worker did for you that made you smile?

When I was sick with COVID in early December of 2020, my team got together and sent over a gift card for food delivery. It was unexpected and I thought that was super sweet of them.

Who makes you laugh the most at work?

This would have to be a tie between Nicole Liebman and Luke deMenna – my immediate team members. I have worked most closely with them the longest. Within our team we always try to keep it light but productive throughout projects and meetings, so there are always a few laughs to go around.

What is the most random thing you’ve ever seen on someone’s desk?

Andrea Palmer’s nametag from a conference that was hanging on someone else’s workspace.

What is your favorite restaurant and why?

My favorite restaurant in Philly would have to be Sampan! Literally everything on their menu is so scrumptious, especially the edamame dumpling. They also have great happy hour deals if you’re interested in trying a new spot in the city.

If your life had a theme song what would it be?

It’s really tricky to pick a song for my entire life. A more recent song I’ve been listening to is, “The 90s” by FINNEAS. It covers feelings of nostalgia for childhood and a more positive outlook on the future which seems to dim with age and maturity. It celebrates the past, but contrasts with the idea that the best days are over, because the best days are the current days that we’re living in. For me, it’s a reminder to be more present and enjoy the best days we have.

    Why did you choose health?

When you have the opportunity to support specialty diseases and can identify patient outcomes that are directly attributed to media exposure, it is clearly evident that healthcare communications is an essential function to truly making a difference in the quality of life for diagnosed individuals. I feel genuinely privileged to work with so many incredible marketing specialists who sincerely strive to make this world a better place through compassion and comprehensive strategy.
